The 50th 500 KV Substation of Sichuan Power Grid was put into operation formally - Sichuan Jianghong Cable Manufacture Co., Ltd.

On November 12, Sichuan Electric Power Company of the State Grid learned that at 12:00 a.m. that day, the main transformer switch of the 500 kilovolt Shicheng Substation was successfully switched on and connected to the grid, marking the official commissioning of the 50th 500 kilovolt substation in Sichuan Power Grid.

It is understood that the 500KV Shicheng Substation is the ninth 500KV Smart Substation in Sichuan Province and the first 500KV Smart Substation in Mianyang. It is located at the junction of Liyuan Village, Zhanqi Town, Jiangyou City, Mianyang City, and Gudao Village, Xin'an Town. It covers an area of 58 mu. Construction started on March 8, 2017 with a total investment of 280 million yuan.

After the operation of the 500 KV Shicheng Substation, the structure of the 500 KV power grid in Sichuan will be further optimized to meet the new load demand in Mianyang and Guangyuan areas and provide reliable power for the new 220 KV high-speed railway traction station.
